Bringing golfing excellence. . .
Mayfield-Graves Country Club golf course is a challenging and beautiful par 70 Championship golf course. The golf course was originally designed in 1922 as a nine hole golf course and renovated to its current 18 hole layout in 1960. The course still has the flavor of a classic traditional golf course layout with mature tree lined fairways, lakes, small greens, and many elevation changes. The course features bent grass greens and bermuda fairways. The golf course has 4 sets of tees which make it playable and enjoyable for any level of golfer.
. . . since 1922
The club features many annual golf events throughout the year appealing to any level of player, age, or gender. The club employs a PGA Golf Professional offering professional golf instruction for any level golfer, junior golf camps for the kids, and summer clinics for women. The Golf Professional also maintains and stocks a Golf Shop with club logoed apparel, headwear, quality golf balls, and golf accessories to meet your daily golfing requirements. The club offers a top-notch driving range and putting green facility to be able maintain and make improvements to your golf game.
Western Kentucky Amateur Golf Tournament
The WKA, which is what this event is called in Kentucky golf circles, is one of the longest running amatuer golf championships in the country. Beginning in 1927 this golf event has survived depressions, world wars, recessions, and even Covid-19 with the completion of this year’s tournament. Every summer the best golfers in Western Kentucky come together to add their name on the coveted trophy that has the names of golf legends Cary Middlecoff, Dave Barclay, James Bennett Pryor, Russ Cochran, Jon Stanley, and Mayfield-Graves CC’s Jason & OJ Lancaster.
